Yosuke Nagayama

Yosuke Nagayama is a jazz drummer, composer originally from Japan. He was born in Osaka, Japan and grew up in Nara, Japan and was introduced to music in an early age from his parents (his mother is a classical pianist and his father is a drummer) and started playing drums when he was 12 years old. He studied drums with Masanori Okano and Tatsuhiko Takeda and also got interested in jazz. He started plying at local jazz venues in Kansai area when he was a high school student. After graduating high school, he entered Senzoku College of Music in Kanagawa, Japan to study jazz. He studied with most qualified musicians in Japan such as Kazumi Ikenaga, Kazuhiko Michishita, Tomonao Hara. After Graduating the college, he played with many musicians/groups and had recordings such as Mari Yamashita Quartet, Libstems, Makoto Kadowaki, Shinichiro Mochizuki, Mitsuru Hirayama. He also performed in many jazz festivals such as Yokohama Jazz Promenade(2012), Sumida Jazz Festival(2010&2011&2012), Suzuka Jazz Festival(2013&2015), Takatsuki Jazz Street(2011) and appeared in a TV program "El Mundo" and radio program "Session 2016".   In 2016, Yosuke moved to New York to pursue music. He had recordings with flutist Kana Miyamoto's group "Kanacept", bassist Yasushi Gonjo's group "Groove Merchant", Braden Smith Trio, bassist Sammy Weissberg's group "Masters of Fright". He also collaborated with Grammy awarded drummer Questlove. In 2021, Yosuke released his 1st album "START" which was recorded in New York in 2020 during pandemic. "Start" also received a great deal of recognition in Japan, Italy and the U.S.; the recording was the subject of rave reviews in Jazz Life, Jazz Japan, Jazz Convention, Skope Magazine and other recognized jazz magazines, and was air played in WDNA 88.9 FM ; a public radio station in Miami, Florida.

永山洋輔

ジャズドラマー/作曲家

大阪府で生まれ、奈良県五條市で育つ。幼少期よりクラシックピアニストの母親とドラマーの父親の影響で音楽に触れ、12歳よりドラムを始める。岡野正典、竹田達彦、各氏にドラムを師事し、ジャズを聴く様になる。高校在学中より関西圏のジャズライブハウスなどで演奏を始め、高校卒業後、洗足学園音楽大学ジャズコースに入学し、池長一美、原朋直、道下和彦、各氏に師事。大学卒業後は、関東を中心に活動し、山下真理カルテット、Libstems、角脇真、望月慎一郎、平山満など多くのミュージシャン・グループのライブやレコーディングに参加。また、横浜ジャズプロムナード(2012)、墨田ジャズフェスティバル(2010&2011&2012)、鈴鹿ジャズフェスティバル(2013&2015)、高槻ジャズストリート(2011)など多くのジャズフェスティバルにも出演し、NHKテレビ「エル・ムンド」やNHKラジオ「セッション2016」など各メディアへも出演。2016年から活動の場をニューヨークへ移し、現地のミュージシャンとの共演を重ね、フルート奏者の宮本果奈率いるバンド「Kanacept」、ベーシスト権上康志率いるジャズクインテット「Groove Merchant」、サックス奏者Braden Smithのトリオ、ベーシストSammy Weissberg率いる「Masters of Fright」などのレコーディングに参加。またグラミー賞受賞バンド「The Roots」のドラマーQuestloveとも共演。2020年のコロナ渦のニューヨークで録音した自身初のリーダーアルバム「START」を2021年にリリースし、Jazz LIfe、Jazz Japan、Jazz Convention（伊）、Skope Magazine（米）など国内外のメディアで好評を受け、米フロリダ州の公共ラジオ局 WDNA 88.9 FM でも取り上げれる。
